I think the bigger concern is making it more secure, to prevent innocent peopel being impersonated. If you recall, Neoptolemus the shape-shifting spammer did that a few months back.

It also wouldn't hurt to make it a little harder to join; anyone with something legit to say should have no trouble registering an account and posting under it. The current system's allowance of unregistered posting just leaves the forum open to automated spammers.
