It is HIGHLY unlikely that this board has ANYTHING to do with your system's slowdown.

It's stock HTML. There's no javascript, there's no java, there's no DHTML. It's not even very big - the default prefs load up a message index that's 43k, at the moment (with another few k in images). Any problems you're having are somewhere else.

As for the 'login' - I have no real idea of what you're talking about. It doesn't sound like you're on a public machine, so 'logging in' is a one-time deal; type in your password, you're finished. I'm having trouble understanding how you'd like us to make that EASIER.
