True, the modern world is quite taxing mentally and emotionally. I'm only 14 and a half, and I feel quite adult (most of the time, when I'm calm and spiritual and myself). Perhaps these aspects of the modern world are responsible for the lastest generation of underachievers. I admit I don't actually have that much fun - much of my time I'm doing homework, practicing violin, and writing (or other creative outlets). Another portion I spend meditating, reading, and in deep thought. And relaxing ^_^. Oh, and the occasional video/computer game :-P. Balance certainly does not suck - it's appicable to nearly every single aspect of life. Some basic examples: you don't want your dinner (or shower water) too hot or too cold. You don't want too much food for dinner, but you want enough. You don't want an impossible Marathon level, but you don't want a whimpy one. Now, exact balance is boring, and what works varies quite a bit from person to person. When it comes to life-matters, balance is very appicable too. And now I must go do some of the aforementioned homework :-P.
