In Response To: Re: My Halo/GS/Forerunner theory (in FAQ format) * (Rookie) : It also preserves the flood. Killing everything within 25,000 light years was
I never said anything to the contrary... but the preservation of the Flood wasn't the driving factor in this. Containment certainly was one of the key factors, though. : [RE: At least 4 Halos, possibly 10 or more] Do you have a source for this information? Guilty Spark's introduction. "I am the monitor of Installation 04." Firstly, that implies 3 other Halos, and the presence of a 0 indicates that the number may be intended to go above 1 digit. : I don't think that it would even require a single infection form. I heard
It's my opinion that the "spores" are actually the Infection forms themselves. We're dealing with alien biology here - who's to say that spores are universally microscopic. : I don't think there is any guarantee that stuff on the Halo would live,
There's nothing in-game that states this, it's simply a logical conjecture on my part. : [RE: The Library's purpose as a knowledge store] And to hold the index. We wouldn't want to forget that. Certainly. :-) : This is an ambiguous topic. There is no way to verify that GS was talking
And no way to verify that he wasn't. I'm simply running on the idea that GS assumes you know what he means. GS always acts that way, you'll notice... as if you've met before. : [RE: Containing the Flood to find "another way"] Another way to do what? Another way to eliminate the Flood without wiping the galactic slate. Like I said, the Halo activation was probably a last-ditch effort, and the Forerunners would CERTAINLY like to get rid of the Flood with less "collateral damage" if possible. Thanks for your comments - I hope I clarified my meaning. :-) |
