I wanted to get into the Banshees at the opening of Halo, so I spent about 4 hours trying to figure out how to drop a banshee intact. It took awhile, but I found a spot where I could stand, where they would glitch out about 1 out of 10 times (i'm sure I can lower that ratio. I had one of them spinning in circles instead of leaving every time.) What would happen is when they got the command to leave the first area, one of the banshees would just drop. The pilot would land on the ground dead and the banshee would be sitting there, unharmed. I have pictures. Anyway, what has been posted before was true, I can't get into the Banshee. I can flip it, but I can't fly it. At this point in the game the banshees seem to have the same human pilot vs. alien pilot rules as a wraith tank. I also have some pictures of exactly what a banshee looks like when it is being flown by an elite. You can see their feet, and there's a little hole on the side that you can see them through too. (They got stuck several times with pilot.) But as for killing it without hurting the banshee, I couldn't do it without glitching out the game. I did find, however, that my melee attack didn't hurt the banshee with pilot. If you could fly a banshee here, I wouldn't be surprised if it froze up like the warthog does when you get too high. | |
