Naturally I won't mind if other people are having another type of fun (achievements and points) if it doesn't affect me. But maybe it WOULD affect me, either in the way other players perceive me (noob etc) or in the way the game treats me (maybe I'll be obliged to do some points-based stuff I don't appreciate, just to unlock useful stuff). But this is all getting a bit speculative. I said from the outset that I was unfamiliar with the whole business. No, I can see that challenges like that can be useful as a way of giving you ideas about some fun things to try - an idea much in keeping with my website.
