That's not even restricted to games of the video variety... it's not like Da Bears will be exercising valuable life skills tomorrow to attain direct rewards. (Fish biscuit?) : I'm assuming that the alternative you have in mind to what your describing is : playing for "fun" and not worrying about the goals, but if : people find earning points fun, and some people do, then this is a way to : add fun for them. And it doesn't detract from those who obtain their fun from "unpointed" stuff like trixing and machinima. (Who may be getting their own bragging-rights benny in H3 with the addition of filmz.) -- Steve's happy with any feature so long as more potential for fun is added than lost with its addition.
