In Response To: Cortana will become God with Gravemind's body (UrsusArctos4) Hey, I have a question about the Zerg. Do they create new species themselves, or do they add infested creatures to their repitoire of monsters? I know in the book, Shadow of the Xel'Naga, it says the Zerg lured star-faring life forms called Behemoths near to their planet, absorbed their genetic information, and used them to traverse the stars. But the only Zerg creature that look as though they're mutated from something else are the Infested Terrans. Are Zerglings really infested Caninoids(just pulling names out of the air)? Or did the Zerg evolve all of their life forms themselves? One thing you left out about the Xel'Naga. The Zerg weren't the only ones to attack their creators. When the Xel'Naga revieled to the Protoss that they had carefully nurtured the evolution of Aiur's dominant species, they turned upon their creators in a terrible war that tore Aiur apart, and was only stopped when a Protoss prophet created the Khala, a mental melding of the community into one. The Dark Templar did not like this, so they were exiled. | |
