Ehh... you're also kind of forgetting about the fact that the entire library generates a massive energy field focused on protecting Index, which has to be deactivated in addition to retrieving it, not to mention it also comes in its own little security holster so it will probably lock itself down if grabbed by a non-Reclaimer.
