if it didnt un-attune its self then the halos could only fire 7 times, if an index permo-attuned to the person who grabbed it then no one else could ever fire that halo again, meaning that if you wanted to fire the halos you would half to find one that someone hadent used yet(this is assuming that the ark can only be used to fire the halos in the event of an unexpected shutdown)I realy do not think that the Forerunners would allow such a flaw in their most important security system.
