Of course it's rude, that's part of the fun. Also, I don't have to do anything to make my jokes "obvious". Either people recognize that they're jokes, and I like them, or they don't realize they're jokes, and I don't like them. I don't mind pissing people off if they don't have a sense of humor similar to mine. That just makes it even more funny.
