: me that change is needed - for this to happen, however, it can't be me

: on this and put an end to the nastiness that's surrounding the Pfhorums.
Three suggestions:
First, recognize that you can't force people to be nice, and trying to do so will probably make them nastier. Second, realize that on the internet, people feel freer to lash out in ways they would never do IRL. It is an intrinsic property to mostly anonymous social interaction. Shameful, but likely not fixable. Third, and most importantly, don't let stuff like this rent space in your brain. You have much better things to think about.
