Originally I wasn't going to respond to this because, "Well, what can you really do about it? Stick to these story forums I suppose." There definitely is a culture of belittlement on the Pfhorums (and I've been guilty of participating in that myself to a degree). One time, a particular poster made up something that I never said and then criticized me for it repeatedly. Oh well. That's the way they like it (there's reasons behind it, genuine or absurd, but I'm not going to play devil's advocate here).
Listen to jonny, he has some good points. I'll add some of my own thoughts.
Obviously from this post there are some people who don't like the Pfhorums nonsense and are of a similar mind. So, why not just stick together and avoid-and-ignore the jackasses; form your own clique where constructive criticism and respectful disagreement, not self serving condescension, is the norm behavior. Use these boards or use the Pfhorums and just don't respond to anyone that's giving you grief. You see a few names in this thread agreeing with you, so just focus on interacting with these names either through the boards or through email. If someone posts a worthlessly negative response to your post then just don't respond to them in any way shape or form. Other than that you can't change anyone's behavior especially when they're already looking down on you.
