: -- Meg Its amazing how things change. Once we (Britain) had an sphere of influence around the world that still to this day has never been surpassed, even by you Americans. And now everyone blames us for their problems...alot of those in Africa...India and so on. Sure we conquered them, took their resources and played them for chumps, and then when we left we usually made sure we destroyed everything...but thats all in the past, quit living in the past. And now we are Americas little "bitch", sticking with you guys side by side, because we know if we don't all we've got left is Europe, and they hate us so much cuz we side with you Americans all the time. So we are in a lose, lose situation. Side with America and have little if any influence in the world, or turn to Europe and have the treacherous French tell us exactly what to do, which is what they are doing anyway by writing up a European constitution (written by a former French president, who is almost as bad as Hitler, and that's no exaggeration). They want to take away power from sovereign nations such as foreign policy - which they want to replace with a European foreign policy which will be 1000% totally opposite to Americas. I say Britain should never separate itself from America (which is what Winston Churchill said in his last address to parliament). I like the US. Sure I don't agree with everything that comes out of America, but your family. We understand each other (for the most part), we can count on each other for support (most of the time). Which is more that can be said for the French who WE (both the US and UK) had to save during WW2. British and American blood was spilt to save them and what do they do? 50 years on and they truly despise both of us. Anyway what was the point of this post? Oh yes.....how things have changed.
