I think someone pointed out on the Halo Story Page that John117 might refer to the other book that is attributed to the apostle John, Revelation (side note: Revelation is singular, not plural). I don't have a bible on me, but I seem to recall that both 1:17 and 11:7 had some interesting stuff in them, especially when taken in context with the surrounding verses. For the record, I am also a Christian, and I too often find myself annoyed with over-paranoid or over-judgmental members of my faith. Not to get too preachy, but Christ was all about loving people, not condemning them. For more info on that little tidbit of Christian dogma, read through the Gospel of John. Sorry, I felt someone needed to say it.
