Contest!!! -Shaft Challenge- Pt 1

The Great Shaft Challenge- Part 1
Contest Ends: 6/8/02 12:00 PM EST

Goal:

Get to the extreme bottom of the shaft, using NO VEHICLES.

Rules:

1) You can play in either co-op or single player.
2) You can't use the warthog at all.
3) You have to start climbing down at the shafted cutscene. This means:

a) You can't go further inside, where all the covenant are. You have to stay in the main shaft the entire time.
b) Another way to say this is: If you can't see the main shaft from where you are standing, then you shouldn't be standing there.
c) Once the shafted cutscene starts, you can't go back into the hallway. (The shafted cutscene must start.)

4)Extreme bottom means: Lowest point in the shaft. If that isn't possible, then the next-to-lowest point in the shaft (and so on.) "How low can you go?"

Winning:
For the first part of this challenge, the first person who provides a detailed description of how to do it, starting from the "shafted" cutscene, wins.

Post(public) descriptions under this thread, or Send(secret) descriptions to:

Metafire@aol.com with the subject: Shaft Challenge
They can be written in the email, attached as text or word documents.

The first person who provides a desciption of reaching the absolute bottom wins automatically.
Descriptions of how to get "almost to the bottom" are ranked first by distance from the bottom, then in order of when they were posted/emailed.

If a description isn't "detailed" enough or judged "unworthy" it will be rejected. Sorry.

Prizes:
No prize for the first part. But that could change- see below...
