The problem the visual answers/illustrates is, "What is the number of Halos it would take to destroy our galaxy?" Not, "What is the number of Halos it would take to destroy our galaxy with optimal coverage beyond that?" Therefore, it is not only fine according to the solution it illustrates, it is more appropriate than a visual attempting to answer more questions than were originally posed.
A graphic where the outer six circles are spread out to the point where destruction is optimal beyond the galaxy yet still covers the galaxy may obscure the latter information and has the potential to lead to misunderstanding for those who don't follow the explanation... I can see the posts now,
"If 7 halos blankets that much area beyond the MW, then what about 6 halos?" Then we are back to square one when we were already past that long ago.
