In Response To: Some Numbers (poena.dare #CP#g) I have no clue about the physics stuff, so I can't comment. But, I can challenge your assumptions- notably, that Halo/PoA has 1g. Ever notice, in the game, how you don't seem to fall fast enough? I think that Halo has less than 1g, maybe as low as 1/2g. I can't prove this, but it would explain a lot of things, like Flood jumps and the fact that grenades can move a tank (and that you can flip one). But wait, you say, PoA has 1g and we don't seem any heavier on the first level. Who ever said PoA has 1g? Why would it need 1g? If you can walk around without hitting the ceiling ever step, that's enough gravity. In fact, if the artificial gravity takes up power proportional to the influence it gives, (and why would it not?) then it would make sense to only keep PoA at .5g or less.
