I was just thinking that here on earth we are held to the ground : by the earths gravity. On halo, comparing it to the earth, the gravity : would be much less. But we don't need gravity as much because when on halo : were on teh inside of teh ring, not the outside. You cannot do this on a : planet because it is not a ring. So wouldn't centrifical force provide the : stability on the ground of halo? Wouldn't then it be much harder to walk : since the ring spins fast and is small and therefore takes little time for : one rotation? There is is thread called "Forerunner Tech" I think dealing with this. Someone was listing what we know about the Forerunner and mentioned gravity generators. I pointed out that they were not required due to the centrifugal force generated by HALO's spin. Then there was much discussion about the atmosphere shearing off and how the sentinals float so effectively. Regardless, as mentioned below, the gravity on HALO seems to be 1G more or less so it's rate of spin would be an appropriate value in relation to its diameter. We'll see when the numbers come in
