the larger one would not necessarily be Threshold, the planet Halo is orbiting. simply the one with more mass and/or greater density (which would mean it was able to contain more mass). the smaller one could be super-dense ball of gasses or something of that nature.

i think i am right in stating that. correct me if i am wrong.
