In Response To: big story question (major spoilers) (Gary Coleman)
Dude - almost the same question I posted? Why would the Forerunners save the friggin' Flood but wipe out all other life? It doesn't make any sense. Why not just wipe out the Flood and spare the rest of us?? Did we miss something???
: wait a minute... now dont get me wrong, ive been preaching the gospel of
: halo, and its my favorite game ever, but something just doesnt make
: sense...
: The flood (which although quite tiresome to fight do bring a certain
: intensity to the table) are some sort of virus right, so the forerunners
: decided it would be prudent to wipe out sentient life so the flood wouldnt
: feed on them. is this meant to wipe out all sentient life? granted the
: halo has a limited range but they spoke of others. what gets me is the
: forerunners arent around anymore from what weve seen. why would some race
: be so terrified of the flood so as to risk their own extinction (had they
: still been around) and destroy the rest of sentient life. granted the
: flood are friggin terrifying, but so is AIDS and you dont see people being
: slaughtered to combat it... any thoughts, in short, what are they trying
: to protect FROM the flood? apparently not sentient life... any thoughts?
: im confused now.
