In Response To: Also, about weapon redundancy (Dervish) : This was discussed here a few days ago, but your review has convinced me that : I really don't mind the redundant Forerunner weapons. In the Campaign, the : story necessitates going places where UNSC gear wouldn't and shouldn't be : available. Just like it was nice to have the Carbine and Beam rifle : available as BR and sniper equivalents on the gas mine and in High Charity : in Halo 2, it's nice to have precision rifles, machine guns and sniper : rifles in the Forerunner spaces in Halo 4. The Light rifle and Suppressor : may be boring, but it's a whole lot more fun playing through Midnight with : them than it would be with a sentinel beam and the cut stasis gun. Actually, the Covenant weapons provide enough to cover weapon roles when UNSC gear isn't present, and the Covenant do show up fairly early in the third level, so you'd only be stuck with Forerunner guns for the earliest part of that level. The only level where there are only Prometheans is the last level, but even then you do spawn with UNSC weapons and there is a cache of non-Forerunner weapons later on in the stage. In either case you'd be stuck only with Forerunner weapons for not all that long, but the parts where you were stuck with them would force you to think outside the box had the Forerunner weapons not had full parity with the UNSC & Covenant arsenals. With proper encounter design, having to use a mostly unique arsenal of weapons for that brief amount of time could create an excellent and different challenge, IMO.
