In Response To: Could do with an index (Rockslider) : A lot of work in there! It could really do with an index at the top though. I : couldn't see the overall structure nor jump to a particular section I : might be interested in. Best I could do was scroll down (and down and : down) trying to spot section titles. But even with that poor method, the : titles didn't have big enough font size to leap out at me, so I couldn't : even scroll fast. I actually meant to add an an index, but when I thought of adding one I was still in the early phases of writing and it slipped my mind when I was finishing everything up. I'll go add one in a bit. : By the way, what was 'Drive-In Totals' about? I was trying to work it out
The Drive-in Totals bit is a reference to MonsterVision, a program hosted by Joe Bog Briggs that ran on TNT Saturday nights during the mid to late 90s. It would air various horror and sci-fi movies (most of those were B-movies as well) and Briggs would offer commentary just before/right after coming back from commercials. Before the movie started, he would give a humorous list of various highlights from the movie. The Wikipedia article I linked to above gives a list of drive-in totals from the movie Phantasm, but the one I remember best was from when Gremlins aired: Now it's time for "Gremlins," the 1984 Joe Dante flick about Chinese munchie monsters taking over a Norman Rockwell town and killing a bunch of character actors. You probably already know about this movie, so I'll just give you those drive-in totals. We have: Here's the full episode transcript. Anywho, I watched MonsterVision religiously, and it was a staple program of my weekend TV viewing back in my high school days.
