Ok, yes, there are some similarities, but Watchers respond on a personalized interactive level to player actions where Drones were JUST annoying and Engineers just floated and passively shielded. And the Flood Tank was completely and totally useless. I can't recall ever being killed by one, much less challenged or even impeded. The Watchers may not be perfect, in particular I dislike that they have a face, but they are much better than Crawlers which are just fast non grenading grunts that sometimes stick to walls, and Knights which are just reskined Elites with occasional infuriating teleportation.
