In Response To: Re: Some Spartan Dialogue (SonGoharotto) : Looking back on H:CE as a standalone piece, I suspect Bungie's original : intention was for the Human/Covenant War to merely be a backdrop for the : larger Forerunner/Flood conflict from the distant past now spilling over : into the present. It's like the Covie plot line proved too popular, and : ate up more of the trilogy than it was meant to. I don't know if it's the plot line or the fact that the Halo 1 Covenant units were just nailed from the get go. There is nothing better than fighting a few Elites with Grunt and Jackal support. Not Prometheans. Not Brutes. Not Marines who are trying to punish you for killing one too many of them. Elites. Grunts. Jackals.
