There are similar feels to some things. Driving certain vehicles feels familiar. Same buttons for certain things (flipping vehicles, etc.), your health automagically regenerates in time, etc. It is a very different game and no one would blame you if you didn't notice the parallels, but they do exist. The other game Take 2 was trying to use its Halo Engine license for was as different from Halo as Stubbs was, but I'm sure people would have noticed similarities in that one too, had it ever shipped. For the most part, of course, you are correct. When you think of all the games out there using Unreal and Unity and Source, for example, and what a wide swath of game genres are covered by just those engines, you realize that any engine is suitable for just about any application...as long as your development team has enough time to customize it to their own needs. -Matt
