Technically, that's only the Legendary ending, something to keep dedicated fans thinking about - the Normal and Heroic endings go out with a sense of more closure and a satisfying point of reference back to the very beginning of the trilogy. (From talking to people, and seeing MP player's statistics, I don't think a lot of the overall players of Halo actually even see the Legendary endings.) I'm not saying I'm opposed Halo 4 - but when I beat Halo 3, I felt closure. And when I did view the Legendary ending, it didn't provide a tease of a sequel to me - it provided me something to dream about, to doodle and speculate where the Chief might go. In a sense, the Chief is a character like Batman - the war never stops and the character must always go forward into battle, even if the story we're focused on is resolved. It was a [flawless] cowboy riding into another sunset.
