I'm referring to the considerable number of posts here concerning badly-done character development, a dodgy story, and a bad ending. Huh. I thought with Truth gone, the Great Journey exposed as a lie, and the Brute fleets shattered by the Elites, the Covenant pretty much came apart, with the different species going mostly their own ways (there was a short story in Halo: Evolutions that showed this quite nicely, with the Jackals back as scavenging pirates...though the Elite Shipmaster being willing to kill the human surveyors, and having to avoid them for fear of being shot struck me as odd).
