In Response To: Re: The Unhuman Complex Preview (Reach/CGI Machini (Stephen L. (SoundEffect)) : Any reason it's not "Inhuman"? One's a word. The other is not. Actually yeah, I liken the word to "undead" - which describes a deceased body acting alive, what once was alive (but died) has resumed living. In this context, "unhuman" would describe the sentiment of the Spartan program, taking normal people, placing them through augmentation and changing them into super soldier killing machines. This theme is echoed through the main character feeling less like a person and more like a tool of the UNSC. Additionally he loses a limb and gains a mechanical prosthesis, literally making him less human. This differs from inhuman as inhuman describes a more malevolent type of being (lacking compassion and mercy). Or something that never was or had human characteristics. I figured Unhuman would be a better amalgam of the issues pertaining to the Spartan experiences than fitting it with current similar psychological terms.
