In Response To: In defence of Halo's library. (ElzarTheBam) I've never understood the hate The Library gets. It's a fast-paced, frenetic, balls-to-the-wall gauntlet run against a horde of alien zombie parasite thingies, complete with some exposition from your new friend Guilty spark. The Flood was the most fun to fight in Halo 1. Their overall AI and mechanics were simply better, attacking in large swarms and always Zerg rushing you. Bungie could never quite replicate that experience in Halo 2 or 3. The level design for The Library isn't as repetitive as many say, with each of the four floors being totally different from each other. I also never had a problem with navigation in this level. From my first playthrough, I simply followed Guilty Spark. I figured that this guy, having introduced himself as Halo's caretaker, knew his shit, so it was simply a matter of "Follow the Floating Blue Light Bulb." I have never gotten lost on The Library. In fact, the only level where I still get turned around is on 343GS, and even then only occasionally. It may not be the best level in the game, but it definitely is a fun level and deserves more respect than it gets.
