In Response To: In defence of Halo's library. (ElzarTheBam) : http://www.gamepro.com/article/features/225218/in-defense-of-halos-library/ : I must say playing the library whilst trying to attain the don't die
: The fight for survival became intense, the need to use corners or geometry
: I must I greatly enjoyed it in remastered mode. I think all the complaints with the Library are more or less just hating on a single level for all of Halo's faults. Replaying the game, I forgot how badly I *still* get turned around in the latter half of the game--the only usual way I notice I've gotten turned around and are heading the wrong way is coming across dead Covies. By the time the Flood show up in Two Betrayals, I am not only having to whip around crazy fast to put down any Flood that revived behind me, but there are Covenant dead *everywhere*. I think Rockslider was dead on when he said 343 Guilty Spark was a missed opportunity because we spent 5 minutes in a cool swap and the rest in a horribly difficult to navigate series of boxes. The Library is similarly bad in places, and that's why I was excited to hear 343 was tweaking the game's lighting. It's a fun game, but I realize I keep going back to the early levels not because I hate the Flood (I only wished there were more of the 3-way battles in later games) but because the level design takes a serious hit later on and the early ones are more enjoyable. Now, Quarantine Zone and Sacred Icon I hate, but that wasn't because of the level design :)
