In Response To: Active Playlist Fileset Project (GodlyPerfection) : Sup guys, GP here and I have quite the treat to share with you forgers : looking to get your maps into the MM setting. A good friend of mine and a : regular RP member, External Memory has been hard at work creating a : Matchmaking gametypes repository with all the most recent gametypes out : there and all of their variations. We were all aware that Fyrewulff : maintains a GREAT archive of MM gametypes to grab for updated custom game : options like the addition of super shields. However if forgers were trying : to test BTB CTF settings vs 4v4 CTF settings it was not possible to get : the two variations from Fyrewulff's archive with the exact settings in MM : so it made it difficult for us forgers to test our maps under exact : settings for various playlists. : This archive was built to provide the latest versions of all the competitive

I am glad to see others recognize something that has been lacking on the part of Halo developers. While I am encouraged by the communities efforts, including those involved with FyreWulff's, I am perplexed why the developers have not supplied all of this free of charge. These efforts by the community frequently come at a financial cost which I believe should be borne by the vendor. They have the current gametypes and they have some idea when they will change. They should be publishing these gametypes in an easily accessible manner for as long as it is possible for Community Map Makers to submit maps for match making. In the end, I do not believe this to be an absolute solution. Until gametypes become static, and there is no reason to believe they have, no map made today will be guaranteed to work with whatever gametypes will be fielded tomorrow.
