: so it made it difficult for us forgers to test our maps under exact
: settings for various playlists.

: This archive was built to provide the latest versions of all the competitive
: gametypes explicitly for forgers who are looking to ensure that their map
: works in current MM settings for their ideal playlists. This is crucial
: because the MM settings have changed quite a bit several times changing
: gameplay on maps, like when the 4v4 CTF settings were changed to have a 15
: second reset from the old 30 second reset and the 10 second return from
: the old 15 second return. All of the gametypes are sorted by filesets for
: easy downloading for each playlist including; Arena, Team Slayer, Team
: Objective, Big Team Battle, Rumble Pit, Doubles, Multi Team... even Team
: SWAT and Team Snipers.

I am glad to see others recognize something that has been lacking on the part of Halo developers. While I am encouraged by the communities efforts, including those involved with FyreWulff's, I am perplexed why the developers have not supplied all of this free of charge. These efforts by the community frequently come at a financial cost which I believe should be borne by the vendor. They have the current gametypes and they have some idea when they will change. They should be publishing these gametypes in an easily accessible manner for as long as it is possible for Community Map Makers to submit maps for match making.

In the end, I do not believe this to be an absolute solution. Until gametypes become static, and there is no reason to believe they have, no map made today will be guaranteed to work with whatever gametypes will be fielded tomorrow.
