In Response To: Favorite Halo comic and why. (Postmortem) : Particularly interested in which visual style people prefer. Given this one a bit of thought really... First, I'm going to admit that at this point in time, I've not read most of them. There is no such thing as a comic book store where I am, so I'm rather more dependant on graphic novel compilations which can then be bought off amazon. Now that I'm financially secure for another year, I might try catching up on some of them. But I have read the HGN, Halo: Uprising and, of course, Fistful of Arrows (I'm even gonna be in that one, whoop!) Fistful of Arrows is my overall favourite, even if it isn't an official product. The quality and consistency of the artwork is unmatched, but this is to be expected given that its a complete labour of love from a big fan of the series. Someone who's extensively played the game and is familiar with its style and small details. Its also free from time constraints etc, which is why almost every panel is a stand-alone piece of art. After that though, I think I would have to say The Last Voyage of the Infinite Succor. Partly because the art quality is also quite high in its own right and did an awful lot to get the details right, but also because it was focused on the Covenant and in-particular expanding the back-story of Rtas, the Sangheili and the Spec-Ops.
