Maybe it's because of the fact that the writing/art team changes every series. Maybe there should be a permanent team involved? Frankie....leave Marvel and write them yourself. Please. Heck, get Nylund to write them. Would the situation be different if they went to IDW? 100,000 copies is a good number for IDW. I'm sure they would of liked those kind of sales. Even Dark Horse. Example of great canon comics: The Firefly comics are superb because they tell stories directly to their audience/fanbase. They don't dumb down the story. Plus, the most recent comic told Shepard's story and I was delighted to read that. Brilliant fan service. This is what I want from Halo comics. I don't know that 343i has the confidence yet to do this with the series. I'd love for Frankie to drop in and say why the comics aren't directly tied in with game releases or the above issues raised. Helljumpers? They could of told a better story as a lead-in to ODST. Something that led directly into the opening cutscene at least. Imagine if Sadie's Story was a comic before you played ODST? Would have blown my mind.... -Hedge.
