In Response To: I wish Halo comics were discussed here...*long* (Leviathan) I hope you don't think that I was taking a shot at you. I was simply assuming that the reason the comics are the way they are is to attract comic book readers first, more than Halo gamers. I'm trying to say that the system they have now for stories and creative teams seems to lend itself to avoiding canon more than embracing it. I'm sure that more gamers would buy the comics if they were filling in the gaps of established canon. But they seem to be trying to please the comic base more than fans of the game. I'd love to see canon comics. I'd love to see the comics branch out and tell stories within the story of the Halo games. I'd love it if we had an Arbiter comic book. Will that happen? Probably not. That's why I'm saying your book wouldn't work right now....the thinking has been more geared towards being separate from the Haloverse more than outright depicting it. Sorry if I worded my love for you incorrectly. Not my intention. -Hedge.
