Flood novelization. Chief gets a flood spore to the neck before Cortana short circuits his shields.

I like this. I can see Chief's voice coming out of this guy. And the idea of the flood being mastered (sort of) is compelling.

Too many attempts to visualize Chief either make him a dumb jarhead or kawaii. This representation has its faults (redhead, beefier) but it's good. His face has the sort of weathered but unbeaten look you'd expect from his character.
