They've proven more than : capable of doing just that. The fans, that is. 343i has yet to prove : itself and this ain't the best way to start. I disagree with that. Well, not the whole leaving the really bad looking comedy things to the fans, but the part about starting off poorly. This is not their starting point, and they've done a lot of awesome things so far. I'm looking forward to that Evolutions Volume II novel. I've also really enjoyed a lot of the content on Waypoint. And I love Halo: Legends (obviously not all of it, but the majority is solid). Other than that Halo Encyclopedia, they haven't really messed up. They've started fine. This really isn't the best way to continue trying to keep people interested in what they have to offer. And they won't continue with this nonsense, I'm sure. If this thing becomes an on-going series, well okay then. I doubt we'll see many more things like this (at least I seriously hope). If the great stuff they've been putting out keeps coming out, they're fine. If they keep putting out more of this trash, THEN we can all talk about heading for the hills and pretending they don't exist (which won't happen, so it's a moot point anyway).
