Man, I need to introduce you to some Star Wars fans some time. They've been having canon battles the likes of which the Halo fandom could only dream of, and they've been doing it for upwards of thirty years. You should have seen the storm that came down when Anakin was given an apprentice nobody had heard of in any material previous in the new cartoon series. Great stuff.
