He has a point though. I can't blame you for the obvious Japanese culture plugs in the 2 Legends episodes we have seen so far, but I may blame you for actually clearing it, letting them do it. I understand that we MUST live on this planet in understanding of the cultures of other nations, but a line truly has been crossed. In "The Babysitter" We witnessed a planet that belonged to an ancient race, that we can assume was not Forerunner. But even then, the use of a Feudal Japanese style in the Structures WAS overdone. It is very impossible for two completely separate races, on separate planets, to create the exact same buildings and statues. Especially when there was no influence between one culture and the other. In "The Duel" we saw even more unbelievable similarities between the Sangheili race and Feudal Japan. We saw this in cloths, statues, structures, personalities. It does not belong. The Sangheili female WAS portrayed as a giggly schoolgirl, and the Iaijutsu Duel at the end was just too traditional. It is not that I disagree with Japanese culture existing as a part of the Halo Universe, I simply don't agree with it's use in the context we were given. The only culture of any kind that should be shown this heavily in the Halo Universe should be kept to human colonies. If these beautiful structures and this music and culture were used on a UNSC or Insurrectionist planet, as built by HUMANS, I would have no reason to argue it's existence. In the method of use we have seen in Halo Legends however, it truly is unfitting. Please, I really do not want to see Halo's plot go downhill in this fashion. And I believe this is a far more out of character explanation of the words of Azo 'Galvat. So is a straight answer possible?
