In Response To: Re: Halo Wars analysis *sp* (Bry) : It was part of a fleet before it departed to Harvest. Cole sent it on its own : there to investigate. : After their disappearance leaving Arcadia, maybe the UNSC did go looking for : it, but outerspace is a hell of a big place. Finding a needle in a : haystack would be easy by comparison, even with transponders and beacons. If the fleet knew its destination, it wouldn't be difficult to find. While I'd acknowledge that finding the planet destroyed would be a bit of a surprise and might throw off search efforts, if Spirit's A.I. is worth the weight of her computer chip, she'd have a distress signal broadcasting throughout the system. Communications travel at lightspeed, and a solar system isn't that big a place.
