Yeah, some of TFoR was pretty off, like the stuff about UNSC using spinning sections in ships to create artificial gravity. That concept seems to have been completely abandoned since. Plus it's mentioned many times that elevators would pass the rotating sections. How would that work anyways? Also it seemed to imply that holograms, mainly AIs, could be projected anywhere, while in later fiction they seem to be able to project only from holotanks or holotables or things like that.

Yet i consider Fall of Reach to be the best of the novels to date; even with the inaccuracies with later canon (and H1, like the details of PoA's bridge) it actually set up most of the stuff we know about the story today, and numerous concepts in the book have been added to the games.
