(Captain Spark) : I've always hated anime with the crappy artwork and terrible voice acting. : I'd rather see a series of Halo babies short film rather then this : garbage. Watch a few critically acclaimed anime that haven't been shown on American daytime kids TV, watch it with subtitles rather than dubbed, and then you're allowed to write all of it off. I didn't give anime a chance for a long time, because every kid in high school had crude gigantic eyed dragon ball character sketches in the margins of their notebooks... who would think that crap is cool? But now, people who shove all anime in a friggin box, like I did, annoy me as much as the one's who seem to think there isn't a difference between a Barbie game and an FPS. There are so many styles, genres, and audiences for these cartoons, that the way I see a lot of folks write off the whole body of work is ridiculous, xenophobic, and narrow minded. Sure, they're definitely mostly geared towards younger (read: more immature?) people, but - technically- isn't Halo? There are animes out there that would best a good number of US big budget live action movies in production tightness and quality. And, don't start me on some of the soundtracks. I, for one, am reserving judgement till I see it... Anime can be amazing, and it can make you vomit. sounds like this has the potential to be very good, though.
