| To the developers...IPX through IP tunneling | |

What are your thoughts on this...tunneling IPX through IP like in RFC1234 (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1234.txt) to link up Xboxes across the Internet. This isn't really for everyone, but could be set up by advanced users or people holding tournaments. One question is how would Halo react to the lag that would not normally be there (there's no lag when using a direct connection to link the Xboxes). If you're quick to say this cannot be done, please give a reason why. Keep in mind similar things have been done before with the Dreamcast (see my website: http://dreamcastserver.cjb.net). I would just like to know what the actual Halo developers think about this. Is it a valid possibility? I understand it would not be 'officially' supported by Bungie in any way, but it's more likely than getting 16 people, Xboxes, and TVs together for a LAN tournament. | |
