Also the player may not be in this shot at all and therefor would : not have any reflection because this could be a cinematic scene. i might have missed if somebody said this already, but i think that the solid (concrete?) structure beneath the display is, in fact, another holo-emitter, projecting the "glass" screen, with cortana in front of the display. or, if not that, then the cortana image is being shown inside the player's helmet on the faceplate, after cortana has been compacted for travel, but before leaving PoA. just my thoughts, though.
