I made it by quads and triangulate it after I was done with the texturing. So I have a version wich is almost only quads. Sure there is places there I have tris just to save polys. =)

Is it the cylinder on the front sides with the red lines you mean? Cause I have them as own object just for future animations. If you play Halo and stand still a whle with the pistol drawn you can see how MC adjust the cylinder, like he's fixing the aim or something.
Yeah I know alittle deep thinking but it's like that for a reason. =)
