If you don't feel like having a bunch of youtube videos waste your time..

Load a custom game with network set to local. Hold LB, RB, A, LS (push down), and UP on the d-pad. After about 3 seconds a bunch of numbers will appear, along with text indicating either "pan-cam" or "normal".

Normal is the theater cam we are used to. Pan-cam is theater cam that allows you to adjust the speed that the cam moves at (UP and DOWN on the d-pad, effect is applied to both modes). Push in LS, RS, and press LEFT on the d-pad to switch between modes.

You can then make films in custom games, forge, or campaign and later view them (make sure network stays on local). Then viewing those films in theater mode lets you use pan cam.

Just keep in mind you have to remove your body or the cam will reset to its present location if you exit the invisible map barriers. This is easy to do in forge if you suicide as a monitor (throw a grenade into fusion coils and then switch to monitor mode--leaves no body), or if you jump off a cliff as the player model in campaign or multiplayer.

Usually, to glitch past barriers with pan-cam, I'll adjust speed to about 1,000,000. At that point you get a noticeable pause every time you flick the thumbstick.. hehe. Just be sure to reduce it once you are outside the barriers or you'll end up in the void of nothingness that lies beyond all maps..
