In Response To: I imagine it's because from a security standpoint, (Nathaniel) : They didn't want the boolean logic to be any more complicated than "IF : NOT Xbox Live, THEN Allow Weapon Lowering." The more complicated any : type of logic gets, the more likely it is to introduce a bug. And dealing : with bugs in such an gigantic, enormous code base is NOT fun, and I only : speak from experience with a code base ridiculously smaller. Wow. Now That's philosophical. The more complicated the logic the more likely the type of bug? No way! In all seriousness though, that's poppycock. Bugs are not introduced randomly; they are introduced by poorly written/tested/thought out code. This isn't a protein sequencing tool we're talking about here, this is something inherently simple. The reasons for not doing it are explained in an easily digested way above; what I'm suggesting is that those reasons can be sidestepped without causing any unforeseen gameplay issues by implementing it in the Forge only. Honestly, if you think the chance of a bug being introduced is reason enough not to do it, then I shudder to think how you make decisions in your own work. Do you read chicken entrails for guidance? Tarot cards? Hmm?
