In Response To: Abuse = BxR etc (SinisterSamurai) : Remember BxR? BxB? RRXYBLOLLIPOP? Those abuses happened because Bungie didn't : test for them. The don't happen in Halo 3 (as easily, or effectivly at : least) because Bungie did some massive testing on it. : Dropping your weapon is definitly an animation feature. Even though it's : kinda hard to pull off, Bungie didn't want it to become Bx(Crouch, lOWER : WEAPON)L to toss 7 grenades in every direction at the speed of sound. They : didn't have time to test it, so they kept it local only to minimiz : potential abuse. Lowering your weapon could be a mild tactical advantage. Running along a chest high barrier? Lower your shotgun. It'll become hard for anyone to see what it is. Till you pull the trigger. Not a huge factor, but a potentially real one.
