You could mount the sides of the arms with all kinds of : heavy machinery. Large construction tools, artillery, chainguns, giant : shields... a really big "#1" hand... Being regular infantry I'm going to have to say "Screw this machine." Regular infantry combat has to be quick and close. The lighter you are and the better your standard firearm is the better. Speed and body armor over brute strength thank you much.
