I think the dialogue is OK at best (I think it's kind of crammed in and cliche), but I've found, surprisingly, that I'm not a huge fan of the art. One of the most important aspects of a comic is that the artwork must tell the story as much as the words. The panel placements have to bring your eyes through the page and create the flow of the story. I don't think the artist does this...For example, the last few pages of #2. I can't tell what happened to those grunts and why Master Chief is staring at us for a whole page and then the next holding a Carbine next to a window. There's no dialogue or narration to help us either.

...And I'm starting to think the artist just photoshops screenshots and then supplements them with his own bits of artwork here and there. For example, why is there a garden from High Charity crammed into the middle of the Dreadnaught? And right before that, you can see the elevator from the towers in the Covenant level of Halo 3 through a window. The art just loses my respect there. It's lazy.

Maybe that's why the comic was delayed...The artist had to wait for Halo 3 to be released so he could take his screencaps for photoshopp'n.
